Description

Tropomodulin 2 (neuronal) also known as TMOD2 is a protein which in humans is encoded by the TMOD2 gene. This gene encodes a neuronal-specific member of the tropomodulin family of actin-regulatory proteins. The encoded protein caps the pointed end of actin filaments preventing both elongation and depolymerization. The capping activity of this protein is dependent on its association with tropomyosin. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the Tropomodulin 2 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

E. coli-derived recombinant human protein (amino acids E111-K343) was used as the immunogen for the Tropomodulin 2 antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the Tropomodulin 2 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
