OGG1 is the enzyme responsible for the excision of 8-oxoguanine, a mutagenic base byproduct which occurs as a result of exposure to reactive oxygen. The action of this enzyme includes lyase activity for chain cleavage.
Titration of the OGG1 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 318-345 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this OGG1 antibody.
Aliquot the OGG1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
