Description

Nuclear valosin-containing protein-like is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NVL gene. This gene encodes a member of the AAA (ATPases associated with diverse cellular activities) superfamily. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Two encoded proteins, described as major and minor isoforms, have been localized to distinct regions of the nucleus. The largest encoded protein (major isoform) has been localized to the nucleolus and shown to participate in ribosome biosynthesis (PMID: 15469983, 16782053), while the minor isoform has been localized to the nucleoplasmin.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the NVL antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

An E.coli-derived human recombinant protein (R4-Q807) was used as the immunogen for the NVL antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the NVL antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
