Description

Ninein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NIN gene. This gene encodes one of the proteins important for centrosomal function. This protein is important for positioning and anchoring the microtubules minus-ends in epithelial cells. Localization of this protein to the centrosome requires three leucine zippers in the central coiled-coil domain. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been reported.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the Ninein antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

E. coli-derived recombinant human protein (amino acids Q1023-H2090) was used as the immunogen for the Ninein antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the Ninein antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
