Trans-2-enoyl-CoA reductase, mitochondrial is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the MECR gene. The protein encoded by this gene is an oxidoreductase that catalyzes the last step in mitochondrial fatty acid synthesis. Defects in this gene are a cause of childhood-onset dystonia and optic atrophy.
Optimal dilution of the MECR antibody should be determined by the researcher.
An E.coli-derived human recombinant protein (E39-A359) was used as the immunogen for the MECR antibody.
After reconstitution, the MECR antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
