Lipoic acid synthetase catalyzes the radical-mediated insertion of two sulfur atoms into the C-6 and C-8 positions of the octanoyl moiety bound to the lipoyl domains of lipoate-dependent enzymes, thereby converting the octanoylated domains into lipoylated derivatives.
Titration of the LIAS antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 298-330 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the LIAS antibody.
Aliquot the LIAS antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
