Description

IGFBP6 (IGF binding protein 6) is a member of the IGFBP family that regulates the actions of IGFs. It acts extracellularly in an autocrine/paracrine manner. IGFBP6 binds preferentially to IGF-II. IGFBP6 has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumour cells and to promote apotosis.

Application Notes

Titration of the IGFBP6 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

Immunogen

A portion of amino acids 176-200 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this IGFBP6 antibody.

Storage

Aliquot the IGFBP6 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
