Heme oxygenase 1, also called HMOX1 and HO-1, an essential enzyme in heme catabolism, cleaves heme to form biliverdin, which is subsequently converted to bilirubin by biliverdin reductase, and carbon monoxide, a putative neurotransmitter. HO-1 activity is induced by its substrate heme and by various nonheme substances.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the Heme Oxygenase 1 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
Mouse partial recombinant protein (AA 2-261) was used as the immunogen for this Heme Oxygenase 1 antibody.
After reconstitution, the Heme Oxygenase 1 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
