FPGS is the folylpolyglutamate synthetase enzyme. This enzyme has a central role in establishing and maintaining both cytosolic and mitochondrial folylpolyglutamate concentrations and, therefore, is essential for folate homeostasis and the survival of proliferating cells. This enzyme catalyzes the ATP-dependent addition of glutamate moieties to folate and folate derivatives.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the FPGS antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 304-330 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the FPGS antibody.
Aliquot the FPGS antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
