Description

Key enzyme in folate metabolism. Contributes to the de novo mitochondrial thymidylate biosynthesis pathway. Catalyzes an essential reaction for de novo glycine and purine synthesis, and for DNA precursor synthesis. Binds its own mRNA and that of DHFRL1.

Application Notes

Titration of the DHFR antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

Immunogen

A portion of amino acids 1-50 from human Dihydrofolate reductase was used as the immunogen for this DHFR antibody.

Storage

Aliquot the DHFR antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
