Description

CREB-regulated transcription coactivator 3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CRTC3 gene. This gene is a member of the CREB regulated transcription coactivator gene family. This family regulates CREB-dependent gene transcription in a phosphorylation-independent manner and may be selective for cAMP-responsive genes. The protein encoded by this gene may induce mitochondrial biogenesis and attenuate catecholamine signaling in adipose tissue. A translocation event between this gene and Notch coactivator mastermind-like gene 2, which results in a fusion protein, has been reported in mucoepidermoid carcinomas. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms.

Optimal dilution of the CRTC3 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

Recombinant human protein (amino acids R116-L619) was used as the immunogen for the CRTC3 antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the CRTC3 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
