ChAT (Choline acetyltransferase) is an enzyme which catalyzes the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. This gene product is a characteristic feature of cholinergic neurons, and changes in these neurons may explain some of the symptoms of Alzheimer disease.
Titration of the ChAT antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 98-128 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this ChAT antibody.
