Description

Cationic amino acid transporter 2 (CAT2) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC7A2 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a cationic amino acid transporter and a member of the APC (amino acid-polyamine-organocation) family of transporters. The encoded membrane protein is responsible for the cellular uptake of arginine, lysine and ornithine. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the CAT2 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

E. coli-derived recombinant human protein (amino acids M1-F658) was used as the immunogen for the CAT2 antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the CAT2 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
