Caspase-7 is a human protein encoded by the CASP7 gene. Orthologs have been identified in nearly all mammals for which complete genome data are available. CASP7 is a member of the cysteine aspartate protease family of proteins, and has been shown to be an executioner protein of apoptosis. Using radiation hybrid mapping, the CASP7 gene was localized to human chromosome 10q25.1-q25.2. The orderly activation of the protein regulates microglia activation through a protein kinase C-delta (PRKCD)-dependent pathway.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the Caspase-7 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
Amino acids 237-255 (RGSWFVQALCSILEEHGKD-human) were used as the immunogen for this Caspase-7 antibody.
After reconstitution, the Caspase-7 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
