Description

Calbindin is a calcium-binding protein belonging to the troponin C superfamily. Calretinin is expressed in central and peripheral nervous system and in many normal and pathological tissues. The rat and human calretinin exhibit 98% sequence homology and 91% homology to many other species. Two calcium binding proteins, calbindin and calretinin, have been reported to be expressed in abundance in Purkinje cells and other cell types in the cerebellum.

Application Notes

The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the Calbindin antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

Immunogen

Human partial recombinant protein (AA 2-175) was used as the immunogen for this Calbindin antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the Calbindin antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
