The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional corepressor that is found tethered to promoter regions by DNA-binding proteins. The encoded protein can interact with several different class II histone deacetylases to repress transcription. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the BCORL1 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 69-98 from the human protein were used as the immunogen for the BCORL1 antibody.
Aliquot the BCORL1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
