Angiogenesis Antibodies

Angiogenesis is the formation of new blood vessels from existing vessels. In order for tumors to grow larger than a few millimeters, increased vascularization is required. Tumor cells release chemical signals that stimulate angiogenesis. Angiogenesis is a fundamental step in tumors transitioning from a benign to malignant state. Angiogenesis antibodies are commonly used to study tumors and cancerous cells.
